it's all in the details, trim details

I'm in love with trim. I want it everywhere and I can't get enough of it. It might border on addiction, but since it is so awesome, I'm happy to call myself an addict.

We all know how amazing it looks on drapes, pillows and even walls, but how about your furniture? Particularly to finish off the bottom of furniture. I think it can be like a great pair of shoes - it 'makes' the piece.

So what do you think? Amazing right? It's pretty major. Now I've got to go and trim something.

    That first couch SLAYS me. Seriously. Have been dying for that. Then realized my dogs muddy paws all over it would lead me to Xanax.

    I am dying over those trimmed cushion sofas! I saw designer Celerie Kemble use one a while back and i've never been able to get the sucker out of my head!

    This post is so beautiful it almost hurts my heart. I love every single piece. Actually, I'm sitting at Panera waiting for a client and you've totally inspired me to add some trim to her living room chairs. BOO-YAH! ;-)

    OK Abby, the previous comment, I want to be at Panera. The closest one is 40 miles. NOT FAIR! I have declared we live in a lovely community but it's name should be ISOLATION ISLAND!
    Now to the trim. I am awed with what it does! Never thought of it...go figure? I love how it brings an upholstered piece up notches and notches!

    I love trim and just sourced some awesome trim for my new office (on the blog next week). I also scored 24 yards of a beautiful salmon/pink cord for next to nothing, I just don't know where to use it yet!

    I really like the look. I have a fear of commitment when it comes to things like upholstering my own sofa, but I always think about putting contrasting trim on my chair.

    I am a big trim girl too…I can never get over how some grosgrain ribbon totally takes cheapy Ikea curtains up a notch. I love that blue edging on the Lee Jofa sofa you shared! Gorgeous!
