I'm craving a paisley fix. For some reason when the weather starts to get cold I want cute scarfs, a pair of boots, hot chocolate from Starbucks and some paisley eye candy. I've always loved it since my mom let my sister and I pick the coolest ever purple paisley wallpaper for our room back in the super awesome 80s. Good times.
There are so many ways to incorporate paisley into your home. Art, fabric, furniture, bedding, you name it.
I could go on and on. So what say you? Are you into paisley as much as I am? How do you like it best? On the walls, furniture or maybe on you?
I love, love love paisley, always have. I am currently digging the airy, block prints.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you - I've loved paisley since I was a kid and had a pair of paisley pants that were quite cool at the time. :) Now I have paisley valances in my kitchen, but if I got a do-over I'd use the large-scale paisleys like the Les Indiennes fabric - that's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove paisley - love it on all things around me, but have yet to do so in my home. Love the block prints in fabric the most
ReplyDeleteI agree!! I have always loved paisley and just love it all the more that its cooler. Its so elegant!
ReplyDeleteI used to have such a negative feeling towards paisley I think because it reminded me of old school Vera Bradley bags:) this is such a great collection of paisley designs that look so awesome. Love that red fabric! I had that in a line up to use on a girls panels. I love the big paisley bathroom print too! Great post

ReplyDeleteI love it, too. I am not sure how I would want to use it. The wallpaper is fantastic, but how could you ever disagree with the way Naomi used it.

ReplyDeleteoh that couch is so pretty, I don't know what I would do with it, but it's cute!
ReplyDeleteUgh that Les Indiennes is so so beautiful!!! I just love paisley! xo

Two thumbs up for paisley. Of course I gravitate to the block printed look.
ReplyDeleteI just scored a vintage paisley fabric, I'm thinking pillows. I doodled paisley a lot when I was little too.
ReplyDeleteLove your roundup! It looks especially delicious on that headboard!
ReplyDeleteYou know I've never been a fan of paisley. I can tolerate it if it's bold in scale and against a solid background like some of the curtains you've shown, but I don't at all care for the busy paisleys - except that dining room ceiling in the first image. Wow.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved paisley and I would do bad things for a client who would let me put wallpaper on their ceiling, like the first image.
ReplyDeleteI'm on board the paisley train. Like you, I always have been. I just ordered some samples of paisley temporary wallpaper from spoonflower that Id like to use in my rental.
ReplyDeleteOooooh....yes! I need some paisley this fall!!
ReplyDeleteOh my god, I'm gonna be the only one here saying meh to paisley... is it my age?! I remember it being so big in the 80's and I just see it as really old fashioned and twee LOL! I do think that yellow loveseat is rather sweet though so is it okay for us to agree to disagree? *hides* ;) xxx
ReplyDeleteP.S. You watch, in a year's time, I'll be plastering it all over my house. I hated gold too only a few years ago... *sigh*
Paisley has always been a favorite of mine...mainly in a purely eclectic/hippie/bohemian style...not necessarily the preppy/men's lounge style. lol! Great round-up...especially love the block printed ones!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love that Society 6 pattern. I need to incorporate this for fall I think.
