As I mentioned way back when I've been itching for a little refresh on our (one and only) bathroom for quite a while. We did a gut job on the bathroom when I was pregnant with Amelia (6 years ago) and I've been really happy with it, but lately she was starting to look a bit tired. (the bathroom, not Amelia)
Here she is way back when the blog began in 2011. First blog lesson learned, remove your shower poofs before taking pictures. Duh.
Now there is obviously only so much that can be done is such a small space but I wanted to change what I could without spending much. So paint, and a few new accessories will about cover it.
Be sure to come back on Monday for the big reveal. That will give me time to get that sucker cleaned up and ready for a few photos. And don't forget to come back tomorrow for another great Fess Up Friday.
Have you made any plans to refresh a room in your house?
love the idea of a bathroom refresh...your new plan looks crisp but still warm. and, i didn't know you had an amelia...me too! love that name.
ReplyDeleteooh love the plan- the green for the shower curtain will be awesome!
ReplyDeleteI am glad we aren't the only ones with one bathroom (truthfully we have another half bath but only one bathtub in this place). We are about to start a bathroom renovation and I am thrilled at the idea of having an master bath! The upside to having only one however is less cleaning! Can't wait to see what you do.
ReplyDeleteThat will be a fun refresh! Can't wait to see it :) xo Kristin
ReplyDeleteLove your plans - that shower curtain is so fun!
ReplyDeleteLove reveals! Adore the shower curtain so much!
ReplyDeleteI love your comment about the shower poofs :) I just wrote a post about my bathroom refresh and noticed that there is a towel draped over the shower that shouldn't be there...
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your reveal!
looks very fun and bright! love the curtain idea.
ReplyDeleteYou've got great bones to work with--the existing tile, the glass shelves...gorgeous. Love the direction of the spruce-up! Can't wait to see. And that artwork is so fun for a family of 3 girls (and 1 man).
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas & I love BM Gray Owl. I used it for my kitchen & office.

Can't wait. You may have just put up my dream inspiration board. We've got a long way to go though, our bathroom comes with a pink tub and pink faux-marble counter and some other lovely 1965 touches. Unfortunately our bathroom is pretty far down the list of to-dos, there are so many other projects we need to tackle 1st. So every morning I'm greeted with "pretty in pink."
ReplyDeleteoohhhh...can't wait!! I love that green!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your bathroom refresh!
ReplyDeleteOur last major remodel was 12 years ago.
Now when I want to refresh I change the color of the towels in the bathrooms, the art on the walls and the flower arrangements. Going from a simple dracaena to a thaleanopsis orchid makes a big difference surprisingly - especially when we've done it throughout the house.
Looking forward to the big reveal!!
ReplyDeleteyour bathroom is already so pretty, I just love the bevel subway tile you used...oh la la :) Can't wait to see the pretty after, I already know its going to be jaw-dropping :)
ReplyDeleteI am very excited about these green stripes missy!
ReplyDeleteYour shower poof comment…ha! Can't wait to see. The new curtain inspiration has me excited! We're working on our master (by we I mean I) and I'm hoping to get a jolt of inspiration sooner than later! I've got it painted, but that's about it.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, we have two baths, but the hall bath for the kids and everyone else is very similar to yours... all white tile, with white beaded board on the bottom half. I have changed this bathroom probably four times and am still not settled. I did just find an awesome inspiration pic in Lonny... bold stripes on the wall. We'll see. At any rate, loving what you are doing here and can't wait to see it!!!
ReplyDeleteI have my boys bath in mind for the next ORC, I would love to get inspiration from your re-do!
ReplyDeleteOooh I'm digging the green stripey curtain! Can't wait to see what you come up with :) I'm constantly refreshing the place, can't leave anything sitting the same for too long, I just get bored - definitely have Design ADD (DADD? :-/) xxx
ReplyDeleteThe new additions look nice and are sure to change the overall look of the room completely. A stripy shower curtain is a funky idea and will contrast well with those lovely white tiles. My wife likes to make changes around the house too and has quite an eye for design; I’ll get her to take some photos of our bathroom which is similar in style and upload them for you. We have been fixing the leaks in the ceiling so the colours and style has been updated recently.
