autumn blog hop
Welcome to day two of the Autumn Blog Hop, hosted by the lovely Paige at The Pink Clutch. If you missed yesterday, check out Paige's tour here.
Now I should preface this with the fact that I don't really do much in the way of standard fall decorating (bad blogger). I get into the fall nesting mode in little ways. Just like I start to crave boots and scarves, I get a hankering for layers, warm soft fabrics and lots of texture. A few added pieces here and there, a few candles and some mulling spices and I can feel fall creeping into our house.
Thanks Paige for having me join along, and happy fall y'all! Be sure to check out the others and see how they turn their space around for the season.
September 26 - Uptown Acorn
September 29 - Krystine Edwards
September 30 - Dixie Delights
October 1 - Fancy Ashley
October 3 - Vivid Hue Home
What do you do to bring fall into your home? Do you get your pumpkins now? Do your squirrels eat them like mine do?

I love all your fabrics! I have already bought pumpkins but the mini ones are rotting??
ReplyDeleteoh that animal fabric! SAWOON! love!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the pom pom curtains!
ReplyDeleteI love how you mix all the different patterns and colors. Fabulous.
ReplyDeleteAhh, the mix of patterns is SO good!
ReplyDeleteFall colors are my favorite and these pictures are gorgeous! Well done! And there have been many tears over eaten jack'o'lanterns over the years here. Last year I tried hairspray and that helped a little. This year I'm trying Clorox clng spray with bleach...we'll see.
ReplyDeleteAdore you, love your house and can't wait to see more of it in the months to come! You are one talented designer and so kind to boot! We need to meet up for Chipolte and margs! Thank you so much for joining us this week ... your post is amazing! xo
ReplyDeletelove it all! But especially the fall flower arrangement...and the container is amazing! I bet that was one of your fab finds at Elder's!
ReplyDeleteAlways love adding layers and texture...and you know I am crushing on that gold vase of fall foliage!
ReplyDeleteLovely!! I added mums last week, and this weekend I'm heading out for pumpkins. Can't go wrong with the classics, right?!
ReplyDeleteso pretty! i don't put out pumpkins yet...they always get moldy! plus, I like waiting until October..but, I love the fall flowers you added.
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower of your blog having discovered you as part of the Autumn blog hop. I love your classic designs. I adore that brass urn. Nice meeting you!
ReplyDeleteIt looks fall and cozy. The pillows & the flowers- fab! I'm the same. I accent the home with fall items but since Charleston is so all over the place with weather it's hard to get excited for fall when the temp is still in the 80's!
ReplyDeleteEverything is beautiful and simple enough for Fall!
ReplyDeleteOtomi, ticking, and paisleys on the lamp shade? You are killing me!!
ReplyDeleteWho needs standard fall decorating when your way is so much more fun! I'm just dying over that first image with all the brass and fall colors - so amazing! And I'm always a sucker for otomi no matter what the season.
ReplyDeleteLove all the mix and match and eclectic awesomeness going on here Elizabeth. I'm not a traditional fall decorator either so Im really drawn to this. Im not a huge fan of pumpkins and mums and that whole thing. I do love layering in heavier textiles, and fabrics, burning my Sweater Weather candles, and switching out art for the changing season:)
ReplyDeleteYou layer so well! Ok, where did you get that blue otomi fabric? I want one!
ReplyDeleteI love your subtle nods to fall without going over the top. I am with you - I start to crave fall clothes and boots, comfort food and bringing some natural elements into our house in the autumn. Your home looks so cozy and warm, I am so coming over for happy hour :)
ReplyDeleteI love your colorful home and that arrangement epitomizes fall! Have a happy one! xo Nancy
ReplyDeletemy daughter is having a bday in oct like these ideas
