We've turned the corner. Now that the holidays are over, we are in the long depressing stretch of the gray, cold nothing that is winter. Not even a cuddly warm sweater or cute new scarf can trick me into being happy about the next two months. My mind is obsessed with nothing but getting warm.
And what better way to warm up than with a nice warm, quite bath. Nothing but me and my champaign (or champs as the RHOOC ladies call it).
I feel more relaxed already. Check out my
bathroom board on Pinterest for more eye candy.
What do you do to help you get thru these frigid months? Do you have a nice big tub you use regularly? If you don't use it, can I come over and borrow it? Little Mermaid always ends up in my tub and she's not keen to share.
Ooh swoon over that last one. My tub is usually filled with hand-wash only clothes.
ReplyDeleteCan't remember last time I took a bath:) Quick showers are not the same! And I'm with you, not a fan of winter!
ReplyDeleteI take a bath ever night. I usually take the iPad in with me, and watch some housewife show. It is all gray here, today....and a delayed school opening. You know that means = get noting done.
ReplyDeleteThat first bath is amazing! I hate to admit that our huge tub has never been used! Except....to clean it! We are shower people! I can't sit still long enough to enjoy a bath and the water gets cold after a few minutes!! I love hot showers.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a bigger better tub, as it is the bathroom is just not the place I want to hang out...that Nathan Turner bathroom though...LOVE...it's been on my pinterest board forever and my harddrive even before pinterest! That's devotion
ReplyDeletehi Elizabeth!
ReplyDeleteThese are all breathtaking. I happened upon Sarah Richardson's "Sarah's House" the other day on HGTV. It closely resembles the fourth blue bath you have here. Thanks for the memory.
As far as winter is concerned, just getting January over is my only goal. After that winter is more mild here. But some years we even get random snow storm in April.
I am SO OVER winter. I always like the *idea* of baths more than the baths themselves. I get too warm and too bored to last more than 10 minutes or so and it hardly seems worth it to light candles, waste the nice smelly stuff that you put in it, etc etc. But goodness this eye candy is making me rethink it. I think if I had a beautiful bathroom, I'd be more inclined. Staring at grout and ugly old tiles that never clean no matter what I use isn't very relaxing... sigh. xxx
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kimberly. The idea of a bath is lovely, but it's more trouble than it's worth for me. The water always gets cold too fast! It's cold and dreary here, too, but I'll be longing for it in July and August!
ReplyDeleteI love taking a bath! The third bathroom is my favorite. Yels x

I love the cold weather so much I go to Canada in the winter. I have to say that -40 is a bit too much for me but I go anyway.
ReplyDeleteEvery time that lady on RHOOC says champs a part of me dies. I'm not sure why I find it so annoying :)
ooooh so many pretty bathrooms! i can't wait til i have enough space for a gorgeous free-standing tub like one of these beauties!!
