Before I jump into a recap of my weekend, let me first say a big 'thank you' for all of your comments on Friday's post. You are good eggs, each and every last one of you. And if I could, I'd hug you all. And I'm a good hugger. Just ask around. I'm kind of a big deal amongst high powered hugging circles. So thank you.
Now the weekend. It was sunny and warm. There was shopping involved and pretty dresses. Not too shabby at all.
I've got a new upholstery project waiting for me.
Had a great day with Client F where we scored many many goodies. I'll have to take proper pictures with a real camera, but here is a ReStore score/project in the making.
Brainstorming some ideas on how to work with this tile combo.
And came home Sunday afternoon to find this masterpiece ON my doorway.
Creativity seeps out of every member of the little black door household. We are unstoppable.
How was your weekend? Enjoy any good food, company or entertainment? What did you think of the Globes? Was Jodie Foster supposed to make sense? She rambles more than I do! And Tommy Lee Jones - lighten up. No one shot your dog. It's a party. Live a little.
ooh the doorway art is a masterpiece! ;)
ReplyDeletehow about white with the tile on the wall, and then accents of aqua? we had to work with a pinky beige in our last house and it ended up workinng out really well. we painted the walls white and went with gray accents.
I had to laugh at your comment about Tommy Lee Jones.. I thought the same thing!!
ReplyDeleteI love a party that involves pretty dresses! I had the same feeling about Tommy Lee!
ReplyDeleteBest part of the night was Kristin Wiig and Will Farrell presenting. Oh and George Clooney just being himself as usual.
ReplyDeleteOh that chair haas many possibilities! I love it! I say a fun stripe with contrasting piping!
ReplyDeleteDidn't watche the Golden Globes, I'm a loser and didn't even know it was on! Cannot wait to see that little gem reupholstered...that's an interesting tile combo, pale pink? pale yellow? a sledge hammer? And oof, drawing on the doorway! I had that kid, no wall was safe if he found a marker. Rubbing alcohol gets off Sharpie if that helps...
ReplyDeleteI totally missed the Golden Globes!! I was so bummed! I really can't wait to see what you do with that chair- it looks super sad now, but the shape is fantastic so it's going to look sooo good when you are done with it!!
ReplyDeleteWas the artist in trouble? I know you will think of the perfect tile combo to install in that square. I missed Tommy's speech, now I need to go find it.
